PNE AG Reports Strong Sales and Expansion in 2024, With Over 751 MW of Wind and PV Projects Sold

(IN BRIEF) PNE AG successfully concluded the 2024 operating year, achieving significant sales with six wind and photovoltaic projects totaling 751.3 MW. This included key projects in Canada, South Africa, Scotland, and Germany. The company also expanded its own wind farm portfolio, commissioning several new wind farms and continuing the construction of additional ones in Germany and France. PNE’s Services segment grew, with over 1,000 wind turbines undergoing technical inspections. (PRESS RELEASE) CUXHAVEN, 18-Jan-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — PNE AG has concluded the 2024 operating year with impressive results, highlighted by the successful sale of six wind and photovoltaic (PV) projects, totaling 751.3 MW/MWp. This includes the sale of the Lütau wind farm, which marks the completion of an exceptional year for the company. Throughout the first half of 2024, PNE sold significant projects internationally, including the Buffalo Gap wind farm in Canada (210 MW), the Coronach Muskwa Northwest PV project (100 MW), and the Khauta PV project in South Africa (240 MWp). The second half of the year saw further successful transactions, including the Sallachy wind farm in Scotland (43 MW), the repowering of Windpark Nordleda in Germany (10.4 MW), the Bonsmara PV project in South Africa (60 MWp), the repowering of Windpark Papenrode (59.4 MW), and the sale of the Lütau wind farm (28.5 MW).

In parallel with its sales achievements, PNE AG also advanced the expansion of its own generation portfolio in 2024. With the commissioning of the Heitzelberg (5.5 MW), Schenklengsfeld (19.8 MW), and Heidmoor (36.0 MW) wind farms, the total capacity of wind farms in operation now stands at 412.0 MW. Additionally, 13 more wind farms with a total capacity of 288.6 MW are currently under construction in Germany and France. PNE will decide on a case-by-case basis which of these ongoing projects will be incorporated into its own portfolio.

The company’s Services segment also saw growth, with the number of wind turbines undergoing technical inspections now exceeding 1,000.
