PNE Group secures approval for two French wind farms totaling 20.8 MW to boost clean energy generation

(IN BRIEF) PNE Group has won approvals for two onshore wind projects in France — the Romescamps (10.8 MW) and Chéry (10 MW) wind farms — through the country’s 10th tender for onshore wind energy. The projects, upgraded via modificative permits to incorporate newer turbine technology, will significantly boost power generation and operational efficiency. Romescamps is scheduled for commissioning in 2027 and Chéry in 2029. PNE AG COO Roland Stanze commended the achievement, highlighting how these developments enhance the company’s role in producing clean energy and supporting France’s climate goals.

(PRESS RELEASE) CUXHAVEN, 11-Nov-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — PNE Group has secured approval for two onshore wind projects in France’s latest national tender, further cementing its role in expanding renewable energy generation across Europe. The company’s “Romescamps” and “Chéry” wind farms were both selected in France’s 10th onshore wind energy auction, marking another milestone for PNE’s French subsidiary in advancing sustainable energy infrastructure.

The Romescamps Wind Farm, situated in the Hauts-de-France region, will feature three turbines with a combined capacity of 10.8 MW and is expected to begin operation by the end of 2027. Meanwhile, the Chéry Wind Farm, located in the Centre-Val de Loire region, will comprise two turbines with a total capacity of 10 MW, slated for commissioning in early 2029.

Both projects were upgraded through modificative permits, which allowed the PNE France team to adapt to newer turbine generations and benefit from regulatory improvements. These adjustments will significantly enhance the overall energy output of the sites. The company also emphasized that the tender’s competitive electricity pricing structure will contribute additional economic value to both developments.

Roland Stanze, COO of PNE AG, praised the team’s efforts: “We are delighted to have been successful in this tender. Thanks to the dedication of our PNE France colleagues, we were able to enhance the efficiency of both projects during their development phase. This success allows us to produce even more clean energy and further support climate protection.”

The PNE Group continues to expand its international footprint in renewable energy, with a strong focus on onshore and offshore wind projects across Europe. The successful tender awards in France underscore PNE’s ongoing contribution to sustainable energy transition and its commitment to achieving higher efficiency through innovation and collaboration.
