PNE Advances German Onshore Renewables with 46 MW Wind Projects and 20 MWp Solar Park

(IN BRIEF) In the second quarter of 2025, PNE Group obtained permits for three onshore wind farms in Brandenburg (one turbine added at Gerdshagen), Hesse (a 7.2 MW turbine at Holzhäuser Berg), and North Rhine-Westphalia (five turbines totaling 33 MW at Niederkrüchten, part of an energy park including a 20 MWp solar facility). The combined 46 MW capacity will power roughly 36,000 three-person households annually. COO Roland Stanze emphasized that these approvals mark a key milestone, showcasing the company’s ability to navigate complex regulatory processes and reinforcing its strategy to develop sustainable energy assets in wind, solar, and future tech. PNE Group targets 1.1 GW in operation or under construction and a 10–15 GW project pipeline by end-2027.

(PRESS RELEASE) CUXHAVEN, 9-Jul-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — During Q2 2025, PNE Group secured the official approvals needed to build and operate three new onshore wind farms across Germany—in Brandenburg, Hesse, and North Rhine-Westphalia—totaling around 46 MW of capacity.

In Brandenburg, the existing Gerdshagen site will see the addition of one more turbine. In Hesse, plans call for a single 7.2 MW turbine at the Holzhäuser Berg wind farm. Meanwhile, North Rhine-Westphalia’s Niederkrüchten park will gain five turbines delivering a combined 33 MW, and forms part of a larger energy hub that will also feature a 20 MWp solar installation, also developed by PNE.

Once up and running, these wind farms will generate sufficient renewable power to meet the annual needs of approximately 36,000 three-person households. This milestone underscores the regions’ progress toward a greener energy mix and highlights PNE’s dedication to sustainable, climate-friendly power solutions.

“The issuance of these permits represents a pivotal achievement for our growth trajectory,” said Roland Stanze, Chief Operating Officer at PNE AG. “They validate both the momentum of our project pipeline and our deep expertise in managing complex permitting procedures. This success reinforces a core element of our strategy—expanding renewable energy projects in wind, solar, and emerging technologies like power-to-X and storage.”

PNE Group’s balanced expansion plan combines the development of its own wind and photovoltaic assets with opportunities to divest selected projects. By the end of 2027, the company aims to have 1.1 GW of capacity either operational or under construction, alongside a project pipeline totaling 10–15 GW.
