Zero-Emission Flight Innovations

MTU Aero Engines is committed to advancing zero-emission flight, with a focus on future-oriented propulsion solutions. The company will showcase models of its Water-Enhanced Turbofan (WET) and Flying Fuel Cell™ (FFC) technologies, which are pivotal to their vision of sustainable aviation. The WET model will highlight the SWITCH project, integrating WET and hybrid-electric engine elements. The FFC model will feature the HEROPS program, aimed at developing a hydrogen-powered electric powertrain for regional aircraft by 2035.
