MAN and TIP Group Expand Strategic Partnership with €160 Million Truck Supply Framework

(IN BRIEF) MAN Truck & Bus and TIP Group have signed a new three-year framework agreement running from 2026 to 2028 for the delivery of up to 1,800 trucks across 18 European countries, with a potential order value of up to €160 million. Covering up to 600 vehicles per year, the agreement includes both diesel and battery-electric trucks across all major weight classes, supporting flexible and sustainable fleet solutions for the transport and logistics sector. The partnership combines MAN’s latest efficiency-focused diesel technologies and expanding electric truck portfolio with TIP Group’s rental expertise, helping fleet operators balance performance, cost efficiency, and sustainability as the industry transitions toward low- and zero-emission transport.

(PRESS RELEASE) MUNICH, 19-Jan-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — MAN Truck & Bus SE and TIP Group have entered into a new three-year framework agreement covering the delivery of up to 600 trucks per year between 2026 and 2028, strengthening their long-standing cooperation across the European transport and logistics sector. The agreement provides for the potential supply of up to 1,800 vehicles in total, spanning all weight classes from 7.5 to 42 tonnes and covering operations in 18 European countries. Depending on vehicle call-offs, the framework agreement represents a total order value of up to €160 million.

The contract includes both conventionally powered diesel trucks and battery-electric vehicles, reflecting the partners’ shared commitment to supporting customers through the transition toward more sustainable freight transport. By combining efficient diesel technology with zero-emission electric solutions, the agreement offers fleet operators practical flexibility to balance performance, cost efficiency, and environmental objectives across diverse transport applications.

TIP Group, one of Europe’s leading independent commercial vehicle rental companies and full-service equipment solutions providers, will integrate the vehicles into its rental fleet to meet growing customer demand across long-haul transport, distribution, construction, and logistics operations. The agreement builds on TIP’s recent focus on zero-emission mobility, including its early adoption of MAN eTGX long-haul electric trucks within its fleet.

MAN Truck & Bus brings to the partnership a comprehensive truck portfolio offering both diesel and electric powertrains. In the diesel segment, MAN’s latest PowerLion drivetrain, featuring the D30 engine, TipMatic-14 transmission, and aerodynamic enhancements, delivers up to five percent lower fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions compared with previous models. Over a vehicle’s lifetime, this can translate into savings of around 35 tonnes of CO₂ and up to €20,000 in operating costs for standard long-haul applications.

At the same time, MAN continues to expand its electric truck offering through a modular battery concept. The eTGL provides ranges of up to 310 kilometres for light-duty operations, while the heavy-duty eTGX and eTGS models can reach up to 830 kilometres depending on configuration. These vehicles are equipped as standard with CCS charging and capacities of up to 375 kW, with megawatt charging of up to 750 kW planned from early summer 2026. Both diesel and electric trucks are produced on the same assembly line at MAN’s Munich plant, ensuring flexibility and cost efficiency as market demand evolves.

Complementing the vehicle supply, MAN service contracts will support TIP Group’s rental operations by ensuring high vehicle availability through scheduled maintenance, rapid repairs, and access to a Europe-wide service network. Fixed monthly rates provide cost transparency and planning security, while preventive maintenance helps reduce downtime, protect vehicle value, and maintain high safety standards for end customers.
