Holcim joins select group of companies awarded Global Top Employer status following strong performance across regions

(IN BRIEF) Holcim has been named a Global Top Employer for 2025, placing it among only 18 companies worldwide recognized by the Top Employers Institute for exceptional people practices. The certification spans 27 Holcim markets across all global regions and includes recognition of Career Catalyst, the company’s digital mentorship platform, which has been added to the Institute’s Best Practice Library. CEO Miljan Gutovic said the achievement reflects the dedication of Holcim’s 45,000 employees, while Chief People & Sustainability Officer Carmen Diaz highlighted the company’s focus on employee well-being, development and diversity. The Global Top Employer designation is based on a rigorous evaluation of learning, leadership, compensation, well-being and career pathways, and requires companies to hold Regional Top Employer status across multiple countries.

(PRESS RELEASE) ZUG, 3-Dec-2025— /EuropaWire/ — Holcim (SWX: HOLN), has been recognized as one of the Global Top Employers for 2025, joining a select group of only 18 organizations worldwide to achieve this distinction from the Top Employers Institute. The certification reflects the company’s continued efforts to build a workplace that supports growth, development and well-being across its global workforce.

The Institute granted Top Employer accreditation to 27 Holcim markets across every region where the company operates, acknowledging consistent excellence in people practices from Asia and the Middle East & Africa to Europe and Latin America. Several countries that took part in the certification process for the first time earned high marks, underscoring the global reach of Holcim’s people-first culture.

Among the initiatives highlighted by the Institute was Career Catalyst, Holcim’s digital mentorship platform. Designed to democratize access to professional development, the program has now been included in the Institute’s Best Practice Library as an example of innovative employee support in action.

Holcim CEO Miljan Gutovic said the recognition reflects the collective effort and mindset of the company’s global team. “This achievement showcases the collaboration and commitment of our 45,000 colleagues worldwide. It is a proud moment for everyone at Holcim, and a strong affirmation of our Holcim Spirit.”

Carmen Diaz, Holcim’s Chief People & Sustainability Officer, emphasized that the company continues investing in an environment where employees can thrive. “We want Holcim to be a place where people feel valued, supported and inspired. Receiving this global certification reinforces our focus on nurturing talent, embracing diversity and keeping health and safety at the top of our priorities.”

The Top Employer Institute assesses companies against international benchmarks in areas such as leadership development, learning opportunities, well-being, compensation, and career advancement. To earn the Global Top Employer designation, companies must first secure certification as a Regional Top Employer across a required number of markets, including the country that hosts their global headquarters.
