The partnership supports DEUTZ’s strategy to expand in the defense sector and combines TYTAN’s expertise in AI-supported drone defense with DEUTZ’s engineering and manufacturing capabilities. The agreement is intended to strengthen European supply chains and accelerate the industrialization of next-generation unmanned defense technologies.

(PRESS RELEASE) COLOGNE, 24-Feb-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — DEUTZ AG has entered into a strategic partnership with TYTAN Technologies to jointly develop and industrialize advanced drive and energy solutions for drone defense systems. The cooperation focuses on creating modern propulsion technologies and modular energy systems designed specifically for interceptor drones and related defense applications.

The agreement also includes a financial investment by DEUTZ in TYTAN Technologies as part of the company’s current funding round, demonstrating the long-term strategic importance of the collaboration. Through the partnership, DEUTZ aims to expand its presence in the rapidly developing market for unmanned defense technologies while contributing its industrial expertise to the scaling and production of new systems.

The companies plan to cooperate on the design and supply of propulsion solutions for interceptor drones as well as modular battery and decentralized energy systems intended for launcher platforms. The partnership will also cover the assembly and final testing of technical subsystems to support efficient industrial production.

DEUTZ will provide engineering expertise and manufacturing capabilities to support TYTAN Technologies in strengthening European supply chains and expanding production capacity. The collaboration is intended to accelerate the transition from prototype development to series manufacturing of advanced defense technologies.

The agreement reflects DEUTZ’s broader strategy to expand its activities in defense-related mobility and energy solutions. The company has extensive experience in developing robust drive technologies, mobile power generation systems and energy storage solutions and supplies equipment designed to support operational readiness for armed forces around the world.

DEUTZ Chief Executive Officer Dr. Sebastian Schulte emphasized that the partnership strengthens the company’s position as a supplier of modern drive and energy systems for defense applications. He noted that TYTAN Technologies brings strong expertise in AI-supported drone defense, while DEUTZ contributes industrial capabilities to support development and large-scale production. Previous strategic steps in this area include the acquisition of drive specialist SOBEK and cooperation with ARX Robotics.
