(PRESS RELEASE) FARNBOROUGH, 10-Sep-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Bohemia Interactive Australia (BIA) has announced that the Australian Defence Force (ADF) has renewed its agreement for VBS3 enterprise software support for the twelfth consecutive year. VBS, a virtual simulation software developed by Bohemia Interactive Simulations (BISim), continues to be an essential tool for the ADF, helping soldiers enhance their training through realistic, game-based environments.

VBS3 allows ADF personnel to train in a highly immersive virtual environment, preparing for operations in ways that complement live training exercises. This renewal enables ADF organizations to access the latest version of VBS3 and receive continued support from BIA’s local and international teams. Additionally, the agreement extends the use of BISim’s advanced Image Generator (IG) software for the ADF’s weapon training systems.

BIA Managing Director Ryan Stephenson expressed pride in the ongoing partnership, emphasizing the value of game-based simulation in military training. The software is part of a broader ecosystem supporting allied military forces, with BISim’s products used by the U.S. Army, UK Ministry of Defence, and other defense organizations around the world.
