Aalborg University Appoints Danish MP Simon Kollerup to Its Board to Enhance Policy and Innovation Links

Currently serving as Chair of the Finance Committee and Defence Spokesperson, Kollerup brings extensive experience in political leadership and strategic development. He will serve a four-year term beginning in October 2025. Board Chair André Rogaczewski highlighted that Kollerup’s insights into politics, economics, and innovation will strengthen AAU’s strategic direction and external partnerships. (PRESS RELEASE) AALBORG, 28-Oct-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Aalborg University (AAU) has announced the appointment of Simon Kollerup, a prominent figure in Danish politics, as a new external member of its Board of Directors. Kollerup, currently Chair of the Finance Committee and Defence Spokesperson in the Danish Parliament, represents the Social Democratic Party and has previously served as Minister for Industry, Business and Financial Affairs. His appointment, effective 15 October 2025, will run for four years with the option for renewal.

With extensive experience across government, parliamentary leadership, and board work, Kollerup brings significant political, strategic, and economic expertise to AAU’s governance team.
