Beiersdorf Unveils EcoBeautyScore on NIVEA and Eucerin Sites to Highlight Product Footprints

(IN BRIEF) Beiersdorf has implemented the EcoBeautyScore—a collaborative, data‑driven A‑to‑E rating system—on NIVEA and Eucerin product pages to enhance consumer transparency around environmental impact. Created with more than 70 industry partners, the score evaluates 16 sustainability dimensions. NIVEA’s Face Care offerings in France, Germany, and the UK already display scores, with 99 percent rated A or B. Eucerin’s Face Care line will launch scores across Europe in 2025, achieving 100 percent A or B results. The scoring tool, live since March 2025, covers Face Care, Body Wash, Hair Wash, and Hair Treat, with plans to include more categories soon.

Developed with over 70 partner companies, trade associations, and experts, the EcoBeautyScore distills 16 environmental criteria into a simple A‑to‑E rating, empowering shoppers to make more sustainable choices.

NIVEA has begun showcasing EcoBeautyScores for its Face Care range in key European markets—including Germany, France, and the UK—where 99 percent of products achieve top‑tier A or B ratings, thanks to formula and packaging optimizations. Eucerin’s Face Care line will follow suit this year on www.eucerin.com, with 100 percent of items earning A or B scores.

The EcoBeautyScore tool, launched in March 2025, currently covers four categories—Face Care, Body Wash, Hair Wash, and Hair Treat—though its consortium plans to expand into additional segments in the coming years.
