This recognition follows a successful summer where athletes linked to the university won 35 medals at the Paris Games. Loughborough’s sports-related research, conducted by its renowned academic institutes, continues to earn global acclaim, with the university ranked number one in the world for sports subjects for eight consecutive years by QS rankings. The university also remains in the top ten of UK universities in multiple national league tables.

This recognition comes after an impressive summer of sports, during which Loughborough-linked athletes secured 35 medals at the Paris Games.

Loughborough’s sporting excellence is supported by its globally renowned research in sports-related fields, carried out by the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences, the Sports Technology Institute, and the Institute for Sport Business.
