Wood Group Awarded $120 Million Contract Extension by Shell UK for Key Onshore and Offshore EPC Services

(IN BRIEF) Wood Group has been awarded a $120 million contract extension by Shell UK, continuing to provide brownfield engineering, procurement, and construction services for onshore and offshore assets in the UK. The extension includes new responsibilities at the Penguins FPSO and further strengthens the two companies’ decades-long partnership.

(PRESS RELEASE) ABERDEEN, 20-Feb-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Wood Group PLC (“Wood”) has announced a significant $120 million contract extension with Shell UK Limited to provide brownfield engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services for onshore and offshore assets across the United Kingdom. The two-year, cost-reimbursable extension will focus on brownfield EPC services, alongside subsea and integrity management at several key Shell UK-operated facilities.

The new scope of work will cover the St Fergus and Mossmorran onshore terminals, as well as the Nelson, Gannet, and Shearwater offshore assets. Notably, Wood will also extend its EPC services to include the Penguins Floating Production, Storage, and Offloading (FPSO) unit, marking a new addition to the contract’s scope.
