(IN BRIEF) Voith has signed a rebuild agreement with GDT Paper to install its MasterJet 4Tec headbox in a new Vietnamese production line, enhancing paper uniformity and energy efficiency. The fourth-generation headbox offers superior fiber formation, pulsation damping, and user-friendly operation compared to the MasterJet Pro. Leadership from both companies highlighted the partnership’s role in elevating paper quality and strengthening their longstanding collaboration. GDT, a Nam Định–based producer of recycled-material packaging paper, will leverage these innovations to advance its sustainable manufacturing goals.

(PRESS RELEASE) HEIDENHEIM, 23-Jun-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Voith, the premier full-line provider to the paper industry, has secured a rebuild contract with GDT Paper Joint Stock Company in Vietnam, integrating its latest MasterJet 4Tec headbox into GDT’s upcoming production line. Announced from Hanoi and Heidenheim, this collaboration aims to elevate paper quality and sustainability benchmarks in the region.

The MasterJet 4Tec, Voith’s fourth-generation headbox, delivers marked improvements across four critical dimensions: enhanced fiber formation, advanced pulsation damping, simplified operation, and superior energy efficiency. Building on the capabilities of its predecessor, the MasterJet Pro, the 4Tec’s refined jet quality ensures uniform sheet formation, eliminates streaks, and optimizes paper characteristics.

Mr. Dinh Nhu Kien, Chairman of GDT’s Board of Directors, remarked, “Partnering with Voith’s MasterJet 4Tec will allow us to achieve exceptional paper formation and the top-tier quality our customers expect.” Voith’s Senior Vice President Business Development SEA, Ronaldo Parucker, added, “This order underscores Voith’s leadership as a full-line supplier and reinforces our long-standing alliance with GDT.” Hanson Zhao, Vice President Sales Asia at Voith, noted, “By deploying the efficient ModuleJet-equipped MasterJet 4Tec, we will enhance formation at the headbox, driving higher-quality end products.”

Key innovations—such as the newly engineered pulsation damper and the EdgeMaster system—deliver consistent sheet profiles, reduce energy consumption, and streamline maintenance. GDT, based in Nam Định, Vietnam, specializes in high-tech packaging paper crafted from recycled fibers and oversees operations from pulp production through corrugated packaging. The integration of MasterJet 4Tec technology will bolster GDT’s commitment to sustainable, high-performance paper manufacturing.
