With over 200 hours of critically acclaimed Nordic and European content available in the first year—many as market-first premieres—prima+ strengthens its position as the go-to platform for premium international storytelling. Selected Viaplay titles will also appear on Prima’s linear channels. This expansion marks Viaplay Select’s entry into its 30th market and reaffirms both companies’ commitment to delivering diverse, high-quality entertainment to a broader audience.

This collaboration marks a major expansion of prima+’s premium offering, positioning the platform as the country’s premier destination for top-quality Nordic and European storytelling.

Through this multi-year deal, prima+ will showcase over 200 hours of Viaplay Select content in the first year alone, with most titles premiering for the first time in the Czech market. Additionally, select Viaplay programming will be featured on Prima Group’s linear TV channels, maximizing audience exposure and enriching the value of the partnership.

Viaplay Select offers a unique curation of compelling series, films, and documentaries that appeal to fans of cinematic storytelling, emotionally resonant dramas, gripping true crime, and sports documentaries. Among the standout scripted titles arriving on prima+ are The Hunt, a shocking Dutch true-crime drama; Mafia, a dark Nordic noir; Furia, a political thriller from Emmy winner Gjermund Stenberg Eriksen; Jana – Marked for Life, based on the bestselling novel by Emelie Schepp; and The Beach Hotel, a coastal mystery from crime fiction queen Camilla Läckberg.

The non-fiction lineup features acclaimed programming such as The Big Decision with football star Erling Haaland; chilling true-crime series Under the Radar and Copenhagen Killer; the rescue documentary Frozen Roads; and the renovation-themed Extraordinary Renovations, set against breathtaking Nordic backdrops.

This launch brings Viaplay Select to more than 30 international markets, adding to its growing global footprint through distribution agreements with Pickbox (Adria region), DMD (Latin America), Canal+ (Netherlands), Magenta (Germany), and Crave (Canada).
