PARIS, 06-Jul-2017 — /EuropaWire/ — On Tuesday 4 July, Bertrand Camus, CEO Water France, and Gilles Boulanger, Regional Director, officially opened VISIO, a 360° water monitoring centre in Le Pecq (Yvelines). Packed with “smart” technologies developed by SUEZ, VISIO brings together all the teams, tools and digital technologies needed to manage water and sanitation services in real time across eight departments in Ile-de-France.

A 360° monitoring centre providing a comprehensive view of urban water systems

Confronted with the challenges of growing urbanisation and the increasing scarcity of water resources, local authorities are committed to applying sustainable development water management policies. With its VISIO Paris Seine Ouest centre, SUEZ supports local authorities by offering a digital management system for their water and sanitation services.

VISIO enables users to monitor water services in real time and brings greater reactivity for network maintenance work, more efficient facilities and networks – including improved energy efficiency – and better sharing of information and data between the different stakeholders.

“Smart” technologies to enhance service efficiency and help protect water resources

VISIO Paris Seine Ouest Centre includes in particular the AQUADVANCED® Water Networks and AQUADVANCED^®Urban Drainage technologies. Those solutions improve the efficiency of drinking water networks by monitoring data such as water flow, water pressure and water quality in real time. It also predict and manage stormwater with the help of meteorological data and real-time flow rate indicators.

VISIO centre teams receive all the data collected by these various solutions in real time. They are then able to monitor operations every minute, predict the impact of external events (storms, pollution etc.), manage and analyse technical alarms and liaise with maintenance teams.
