Available initially to eligible high-net-worth clients in selected Asian and Middle Eastern markets, the launch marks the sixth sub-fund under the Bank’s VCC platform and reinforces its focus on delivering institutional-quality, differentiated investment solutions through partnerships with leading global asset managers.

(PRESS RELEASE) LONDON, 16-Jan-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Standard Chartered has expanded its investment offering with the launch of Signature Select Quality Credit Income, a new investment-grade collateralised loan obligation (IG CLO) strategy sub-fund established under the Bank’s Variable Capital Company (VCC) platform. Barings has been appointed as sub-investment manager for the strategy, bringing its extensive expertise in structured credit to the new fund.

The newly launched sub-fund is designed to provide investors with income-focused exposure to investment-grade CLO tranches through a diversified and actively managed portfolio. By concentrating on high-quality credit, the strategy aims to deliver stable income potential while managing risk across different market conditions.

Signature Select Quality Credit Income represents the sixth sub-fund introduced under Standard Chartered’s VCC platform, which was established to deliver curated and differentiated investment strategies to the Bank’s wealth clients. Through partnerships with leading global asset managers, the platform seeks to combine institutional-grade investment capabilities with Standard Chartered’s global wealth management expertise.

Barings brings more than 25 years of experience in CLO investing and management to the strategy, with over US$50 billion in CLO assets under management and a track record spanning more than 100 CLOs across the US and European markets. The collaboration reflects a shared focus on delivering carefully structured credit solutions that align with investors’ income objectives and long-term portfolio diversification goals.

The new sub-fund is currently available to high-net-worth clients within Standard Chartered’s Private, Priority Private, and Priority segments who hold Accredited Investor and/or Professional Investor status. Initial availability covers Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, the UAE, and Bahrain, with plans to extend distribution to additional markets in the coming months.

Standard Chartered launched its VCC structure in June 2024 to create a dedicated platform for bespoke investment strategies. The initiative is intended to bring together the capabilities of established fund managers and the Bank’s own asset class specialists, enabling clients to access strategies that may otherwise be difficult to reach through traditional investment channels.
