Initiated by the ministers of commerce across the Nordic region, NSG works towards simplifying daily life and routines for SMEs in the region by emphasizing on data, digitalisation and automation to generate growth.

Stefan Stignäs, head of Corporate Markets at SEB on welcoming the NSG programme:

“We welcome the NSG programme’s initiative for reducing administrative work for companies with the help of automation and the sharing of standardised, real-time data.”

Launched two years ago (2018) the Nordic Smart Government is an initiative of the Nordic ministers of commerce with the goal of creating a digital ecosystem for financial information. The purpose is to allow SMEs in the region to share financial data among themselves and with authorities securely and in real time.

Stignäs explained further the benefits of joining the NSG collaboration:

“We see a clear need for the financial sector to participate and encourage other Nordic banks to become involved in the collaboration. It represents a valuable complement to the joint-bank initiatives for the P27 Nordic payments platform and a uniform Nordic Know Your Customer infrastructure.”
