Global Visualization Leaders Enhance LED Portfolio through Strategic Infinipix Gen2 and MIP Technology Integration

(IN BRIEF) Barco and Unilumin have expanded their longstanding partnership by integrating Barco’s Infinipix Gen2 LED image-processing technology into Unilumin’s ultra-fine-pitch MIP displays. This collaboration combines Barco’s three decades of expertise in video-wall systems and advanced image processing with Unilumin’s leadership in direct-view LED hardware, addressing the booming market demand for high-resolution, secure video solutions. Effective immediately, the first products featuring this integration will be ready for shipment in Q4 2025, and demonstrations will be available at InfoComm 2025. The alliance strengthens both companies’ portfolios and offers end-to-end, seamlessly managed LED video-wall installations across control rooms, broadcast, and emerging markets.

(PRESS RELEASE) KORTRIJK, 11-Jun-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Barco, renowned worldwide for its professional visualization solutions, and Unilumin, a dominant force in the LED display arena, are deepening their strategic collaboration. Through this enhanced alliance, Barco’s clientele will gain access to Unilumin’s cutting-edge micro-LED MIP modules, delivering pixel pitches finer than 0.9 mm. Conversely, Unilumin will integrate Barco’s Europe-designed Infinipix™ Gen2 LED image-processing engine into its display line-up.

For over three decades, Barco has set the benchmark in video-wall technology—spanning rear-projection cubes, LCD matrices, and direct-view LED installations—across control centers, broadcast studios, and beyond. Its relentless pursuit of excellence in both indoor and outdoor LED systems has honed unparalleled expertise in image processing, ensuring displays and processors perform in seamless concert. Indeed, Barco has pioneered advanced picture-processing techniques for more than 25 years.

Capitalizing on a Rapidly Expanding LED Market
With direct-view LED adoption surging globally—propelled by relentless innovation and shrinking price points—the display sector is entering new verticals at an unprecedented pace. This dynamic environment encourages vendors to pool their strengths and present unified solutions. By embedding Barco’s sophisticated Infinipix Gen2 processor into Unilumin’s market-leading MIP lineup, the partnership not only elevates the visual fidelity of Unilumin displays but also offers native integration with Barco CTRL control-room management and end-to-end security protocols.

Broader Portfolio, Immediate Impact
“Collaborating with Unilumin allows us to broaden our LED offerings and deliver top-tier video-wall experiences,” said Tom Sys, EVP of Barco Control Rooms. Effective immediately, the first batch of Unilumin LED systems equipped with Infinipix Gen2 processing will be slated for Q4 2025 delivery.
