(PRESS RELEASE) LEINFELDEN-ECHTERDINGEN/LONGARONE, 4-Feb-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Dolomiti Bus will play a central role in the transport operations for the international winter event in Cortina d’Ampezzo in 2026 by expanding its fleet with 14 new Daimler Buses vehicles specifically for this occasion. The event, scheduled from 6 to 22 February and from 6 to 15 March 2026, is expected to attract more than 3,500 athletes from over 90 countries, placing significant demand on local mobility services.

To meet these requirements, Dolomiti Bus has introduced five Setra S 531 DT double-decker buses, four Mercedes-Benz Citaro K Hybrid city buses, and five Mercedes-Benz Tourismo coaches. The newly acquired vehicles are equipped with modern safety and digital technologies, including advanced driver assistance systems, onboard video monitoring, fire suppression equipment, passenger counting sensors, ticket validation systems, and USB charging ports to enhance passenger comfort and operational efficiency.

Stefano Rossi, CEO of Dolomiti Bus, emphasized that ongoing fleet renewal has particular importance in a year when global attention is focused on the region. He noted that the company’s transport services will primarily support spectators, but will also facilitate mobility for event staff, volunteers, and other personnel throughout the competition period.

Michele Maldini, Sales Director of Daimler Buses Italia, highlighted the long-standing partnership between the two companies, which is nearing its thirtieth anniversary. He stated that Daimler buses have consistently been key assets for Dolomiti Bus, contributing to high operational reliability and strong passenger satisfaction. Maldini welcomed Dolomiti Bus’s decision to once again invest in Setra and Mercedes-Benz vehicles, describing it as another milestone in a successful and mutually beneficial collaboration.

Dolomiti Bus is widely recognized as one of the leading sustainable mobility providers in the Veneto region. Since 2017, the company has supported the UNESCO Dolomites Foundation by promoting integrated, locally CO₂-free transport solutions across the Dolomite valleys, reinforcing its commitment to environmentally responsible public transport.
