ABP Coastal Half Marathon and 10k Returns to Cleethorpes: Volunteers Wanted for Event Support

(IN BRIEF) The ABP Coastal Half Marathon and 10k is set to take place on September 17th at Cleethorpes, with participants from around the country registered for the event. The organizers, Tape2Tape, are seeking volunteers known as Race Makers to ensure the smooth running of the event and provide support for the runners. Roles include distributing water, t-shirts, and medals, as well as marshalling the route. Community groups, charities, and local businesses are encouraged to volunteer as a team for one of the nine support zones along the race. Additionally, volunteer photographers are welcome to capture the event. Registrations are still open for those interested in participating in the running challenge.

(PRESS RELEASE) LONDON, 16-Aug-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — The coastline at Cleethorpes is welcoming back to its shore the ABP Coastal Half Marathon and 10k on the 17th of September. Runners from across the country have registered for event, including those with high hopes of qualifying for England Athletics Age Group Masters Half Marathon competition.

Supporting everyone taking part in the race will be event organisers Tape2Tape’s crew of volunteer Race Makers. Race Makers have several roles which ensure the event runs smoothly whilst also creating that special magic on the day to encourage everyone over the finishing line.

There is a role for everyone, and tasks include handing out water, t-shirts, medals and cake, or marshalling the running route (preferably 17 yrs and above) children can also come along with an adult on the day to marshal.

There are nine zones along the race so if you are part of a community group, charity or local business then why not volunteer as a team! Each zone provides support for runners with refreshments, cake and cheering to help the runners on their journey to the spectacular finishing line on Cleethorpes promenade.
