(PRESS RELEASE) VIENNA, 16-Dec-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Kapsch TrafficCom has been awarded the ESG Transparency Award for its 2024/25 sustainability statement, recognising the company’s high level of transparency and quality of ESG reporting. The award places Kapsch TrafficCom among the “Leading Companies” by country, industry and company size, earning it a position in the award’s top-tier “Excellence Class”.

The recognised sustainability statement is the company’s first to fully comply with the European Union’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). This milestone reflects Kapsch TrafficCom’s commitment to aligning its sustainability reporting with evolving regulatory requirements while providing stakeholders with clear, structured and accessible information on its environmental, social and governance performance.

The ESG Transparency Award is based on a scientifically developed, multi-stage evaluation model used to assess ESG reports. The methodology incorporates European and international reporting standards, established benchmarks, cross-industry best practices and the expectations of investors, stakeholders and shareholders. Transparency is the central evaluation criterion, with particular emphasis placed on traceability, reporting structure and the accessibility of information.

According to Kapsch TrafficCom, the award underlines its view of sustainability as an integral part of corporate identity rather than a purely regulatory obligation. The recognition also reflects the company’s efforts to embed ESG considerations into strategic decision-making and long-term business development.

In addition to the award, Kapsch TrafficCom’s ESG Officer, Doris Gstatter, will join the ESG Transparency Committee in 2026, contributing her expertise to the continued development of transparent and high-quality sustainability reporting standards.

The ESG Transparency Award is presented by EUPD Research, a market research institute specialising in sustainability. It recognises organisations worldwide that treat sustainability as a strategic management principle and communicate both progress and areas for improvement in a transparent manner. The evaluation covers companies from more than 30 countries across all major economic sectors.
