FIGO Recognises Nineteen Trailblazing Women for Transformative Contributions to Global Women’s Health

(IN BRIEF) FIGO has presented the 2025 FIGO Women’s Awards to nineteen exceptional women from around the world for their transformative contributions to gynaecology, obstetrics, and women’s health. The awards, announced during the FIGO General Assembly at the XXV FIGO World Congress in Cape Town, honour healthcare professionals who have advanced medical knowledge, clinical practice, and advocacy for women and girls. Nominated by their national member societies, the laureates come from countries across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas, embodying FIGO’s global mission to promote health equity and gender equality in medicine.
