Siemens Launches ‘Siemens for Startups’ Program to Accelerate Growth and Innovation for Early-Stage Companies

(IN BRIEF) Siemens has launched the “Siemens for Startups” program at CES 2025, aimed at empowering early-stage engineering and manufacturing startups. The initiative provides access to Siemens’ software and hardware, helping these companies innovate, streamline development, and scale faster. In partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Siemens also offers startups access to the Siemens Xcelerator ecosystem and AWS’s cloud infrastructure. The program supports startups with venture clienting, business development resources, and AWS credits, and highlights several startups already benefiting from the initiative, including Arkisys, Dirac, and EthonAI.

(PRESS RELEASE) MUNICH, 7-Jan-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — At CES 2025 in Las Vegas, Siemens introduced its new “Siemens for Startups” program, designed to support early-stage engineering and manufacturing startups. The initiative provides these companies with access to Siemens’ cutting-edge software and hardware, helping them innovate faster, streamline development processes, and scale their operations more effectively. Siemens is partnering with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to further enhance the program’s offerings, facilitating access to the Siemens Xcelerator ecosystem and enabling startups to accelerate their growth through cloud infrastructure and advanced software tools.

“Startups play a crucial role in enhancing competitiveness, sustainability, and resilience across industries,” said Peter Koerte, Member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG. “By partnering with innovative startups, we can bring groundbreaking ideas to the market more swiftly, empowering our customers to tackle global challenges with advanced technologies and solutions.”

The program is structured around three key pillars:

  1. Connect: It will onboard startups into the Siemens Xcelerator marketplace, offering them a global go-to-market channel and access to a broad ecosystem.
  2. Collaborate: Siemens will act as an early customer and co-developer for startups, fostering mutually beneficial partnerships through venture clienting. This approach provides startups with essential early-stage revenue while granting Siemens access to cutting-edge technologies.
  3. Empower: The program offers packaged access to Siemens Xcelerator’s software tools, empowering startups to develop both products and software solutions efficiently.

In partnership with AWS, Siemens integrates the “Siemens for Startups” initiative with AWS’s own Startup program, helping startups speed up innovation and scale rapidly. Jon Jones, Vice President and Global Head of Startups at AWS, emphasized the collaboration’s impact, stating, “Working with Siemens allows us to bring advanced software, generative AI, and cloud services to the next wave of innovators in the engineering and manufacturing sectors.”

The collaboration allows startups to leverage Siemens’ suite of industrial software, including design, simulation, and manufacturing tools, all supported by AWS’s scalable cloud infrastructure. Additionally, qualifying startups will benefit from AWS credits, business development resources, and access to the AWS Activate program.

At CES 2025, Siemens showcased a number of startups that are already benefiting from the program. These include Arkisys, which is creating a space-based business platform for satellite integration and assembly; Dirac, a leader in automated manufacturing software; EthonAI, which is using AI to enhance manufacturing analytics; Haddy, which is revolutionizing furniture manufacturing with 3D printing; and Instrumental Technology, which improves electronics manufacturing with automated failure analysis.

The “Siemens for Startups” program is now live and provides an exciting opportunity for startups to engage with Siemens’ global network and technological resources, ensuring they can innovate and scale with greater efficiency.
