(PRESS RELEASE) ZUG, 19-Nov-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Siemens Smart Infrastructure has entered into a significant partnership with the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure to retrofit 60 government buildings with cutting-edge energy-efficient technologies. This decarbonization program is a key component of the UAE’s broader strategy to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. The initiative is designed to achieve up to 27% annual reductions in energy and water consumption, which translates to a reduction of 15,400 metric tons of CO2 emissions.

The program follows the successful completion of retrofit projects at seven Ministry buildings, where Siemens implemented energy-efficient solutions that led to a 20% reduction in energy and water usage. This initial success has laid the foundation for a larger-scale retrofit initiative, focusing on optimizing energy use, improving user comfort, and enhancing sustainability across a broad array of government buildings.
