(IN BRIEF) Insurance Europe has announced that Thea Utoft Høj Jensen will be the new director general, succeeding Michaela Koller, who has held the role for 18 years. Thea, who currently leads Financial Services at FTI Consulting in Brussels, brings extensive experience in the financial services sector and European affairs. She will assume her new position on November 4, 2024. Both Koller and Insurance Europe President Frédéric de Courtois praised Thea’s experience and welcomed her leadership, while reflecting on the strong legacy left by Koller.

(PRESS RELEASE) BRUSSELS, 2-Oct-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Insurance Europe has announced the appointment of Thea Utoft Høj Jensen as its new director general, set to take over from Michaela Koller, who has led the European insurance and reinsurance federation for 18 years. Thea, currently Senior Managing Director and Head of Financial Services at FTI Consulting in Brussels, will officially step into the role on November 4, 2024. She brings nearly two decades of expertise in the financial services sector, including experience in European affairs and government work with Denmark.
