(PRESS RELEASE) FRANKFURT, 20-Sep-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Commerzbank has partnered with Crypto Finance, a subsidiary of Deutsche Börse, to provide its corporate clients in Germany with secure and seamless access to digital assets. The collaboration allows Commerzbank to manage the custody of crypto assets, while Crypto Finance handles their trading. Initially focusing on bitcoin and ether, the service is aimed at selected corporate clients and is designed to integrate crypto assets into established, regulated banking structures.

Commerzbank, the first German universal bank to secure a crypto custody licence, is enhancing its digital services in corporate banking with this offering. The partnership strengthens both firms’ positions in the European digital asset ecosystem.

Gernot Kleckner, Divisional Board Member at Commerzbank, highlighted the partnership’s ability to provide corporate clients with new opportunities in bitcoin and ether, while Stijn Vander Straeten, CEO of Crypto Finance, emphasized the significance of expanding access to regulated crypto services in Germany and the EU.
