Victorian Government Extends Contract with Metro Trains Melbourne Consortium

(IN BRIEF) The Victorian State Government has prolonged its contract with the Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM) consortium for another 18 months to continue operating Melbourne’s metropolitan passenger rail services. UGL, a member of the MTM consortium, has been part of this initiative since 2009. With a focus on safety and reliability, MTM operates nearly 240 trains covering almost 1000 kilometers of track and serving over half a million customers on weekdays. The extension reflects the government’s trust in MTM’s ability to deliver essential public transport services efficiently and reliably.

UGL is part of the MTM consortium, which has been operating passenger trains in metropolitan Melbourne since 2009.
