Vestas Wins 114 MW Wind Turbine Contract for Germany’s Ahlum-Dettum Project

(IN BRIEF) Vestas has secured a 114 MW contract from SAB WindTeam for the Ahlum-Dettum wind project in Lower Saxony, Germany. The order includes the supply, delivery, and commissioning of 17 V162-6.2 MW and two V136-4.2 MW wind turbines, along with a 25-year service agreement. The collaboration highlights Vestas’ efficient EnVentus platform technology. Turbine delivery is set to start in Q2 2025, with project completion expected by Q4 2025.

(PRESS RELEASE) HAMBURG, 29-Jun-2024— /EuropaWire/ — Vestas, a leading wind turbine manufacturer, has been awarded a significant contract by SAB WindTeam for the Ahlum-Dettum wind energy project located in Lower Saxony, Germany. This project entails the supply, delivery, and commissioning of 17 V162-6.2 MW wind turbines and two V136-4.2 MW wind turbines, totaling 114 MW in capacity.

The partnership includes a 25-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement, ensuring the turbines’ optimal performance throughout their operational life.
