Skanska UK announces new President following retirement of Gregor Craig

(IN BRIEF) Skanska has announced the appointment of Katy Dowding as the new Business Unit President for Skanska UK, taking up her position from May 2, 2023. Dowding has been with the company for over 20 years, holding a variety of commercial, operational and strategic leadership roles, including Executive Vice President since 2017. Her predecessor, Gregor Craig, is retiring after serving six years as the Business Unit President. Skanska Group CEO Anders Danielsson welcomed Dowding to the role, praising her “inclusive leadership style” and “drive and desire to make an impact”.

(PRESS RELEASE) STOCKHOLM, 28-Apr-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — Over her 20-year career with Skanska, Katy Dowding has held a diverse range of commercial, operational and strategic leadership roles, including Managing Director of Skanska UK’s facilities management operation for five years. Since 2017, she has held the role of Executive Vice President with responsibility for Skanska UK’s building and building services businesses. She is also a member of the Skanska Costain STRABAG joint venture board, overseeing the delivery of the London tunnels section of High Speed 2.
