Landsec secures Stradivarius at Bluewater as Inditex expands to five brands at the retail destination

(IN BRIEF) Landsec has announced that Stradivarius will open at Bluewater in 2026, expanding Inditex’s presence at the retail destination to five brands alongside Zara, Massimo Dutti, Pull & Bear and Bershka. The move comes as Landsec recorded a 15.7% rise in clothing sales from April to June, reflecting the strength of fashion demand at Bluewater. The 8,488 sq ft Stradivarius store will stock womenswear, footwear and accessories, joining the brand’s ten existing UK stores including its St David’s location in Cardiff. Landsec emphasised that the addition reinforces Bluewater’s appeal as a hub for international fashion, with Stradivarius expected to benefit from the centre’s high footfall and the growing appetite for experience-led retail.

(PRESS RELEASE) LONDON, 22-Sec-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Landsec has confirmed that Stradivarius, the international fashion label under the Inditex group, will open at Bluewater in 2026. The addition comes amid continued growth in fashion sales at the shopping destination, with Landsec reporting a 15.7% year-on-year increase in clothing sales between April and June, highlighting the robust demand for trend-driven fashion paired with immersive retail experiences.

Founded as a family-owned brand before joining Inditex in 1999, Stradivarius is now a globally recognised name in womenswear. The new Bluewater store will span 8,488 square feet on Lower Thames Walk and will offer the brand’s popular collections across apparel, footwear and accessories.

With Stradivarius joining the line-up, Bluewater will host five Inditex brands in total. Zara and Massimo Dutti are already present, while Pull & Bear and Bershka are set to open in 2024, underscoring Bluewater’s strong pull as a key destination for leading international retailers. Stradivarius already operates ten stores across the UK, including one in Landsec’s St David’s shopping centre in Cardiff, and the Bluewater opening marks an important step in expanding its national footprint.

Commenting on the announcement, Pablo Sueiras, Head of Retail Leasing at Landsec, said: “Experience-led retail continues to perform strongly, and this opening reflects the demand for shopping destinations that bring together the right mix of global brands and memorable guest experiences. Stradivarius is a brand that resonates with fashion-conscious shoppers thanks to its versatile, trend-led collections at accessible prices. Adding a fifth Inditex brand to Bluewater reinforces its status as a prime destination for global fashion retail, and we are confident Stradivarius will thrive alongside its sister brands thanks to the centre’s impressive visitor numbers.”
