(PRESS RELEASE) BONN, 27-Jan-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — DHL Group has announced a five-year extension of its global youth employability initiative, GoTeach, renewing its partnerships with Teach For All and SOS Children’s Villages through 2030. The announcement coincides with the program’s 15th anniversary and reinforces DHL Group’s long-term commitment to supporting young people—particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds—as they prepare to enter the workforce.

Launched in 2010, GoTeach was created to address the global challenge of youth unemployment by connecting young people with DHL employees who act as mentors, coaches and role models. Through practical learning, career guidance and exposure to professional networks, the program equips participants with the skills, confidence and self-reliance needed to succeed in an increasingly complex job market.

What began as a pilot initiative in Madagascar has since grown into a global program active in around 70 countries. In Madagascar alone, GoTeach has expanded from an initial group of 15 participants to more than 7,000 young people across five regions. The program has also become a meaningful talent pipeline, with dozens of participants securing permanent employment at DHL. Each year, hundreds of young people in the country benefit from the initiative, demonstrating how locally embedded solutions can deliver long-term national impact.

The program’s adaptability has been key to its success across diverse regions. In the Americas, the “My First Job” initiative has evolved beyond foundational skills training to include intensive, year-long work placements that combine hands-on experience with structured professional development. Since its introduction, this approach has enabled multiple participants to transition into permanent roles within DHL, strengthening workforce inclusion and career readiness.

In Romania, GoTeach has expanded further by collaborating with corporate partners across multiple industries. By working with companies such as Paragon, Bumbu Toys, Aumovio Systems and Aerostar, the program offers young people exposure to sectors ranging from automotive technology to aerospace and defence. These partnerships broaden career pathways while maintaining a consistent global framework focused on youth empowerment.

Looking ahead, DHL Group plans to continue scaling GoTeach through broader multi-stakeholder collaborations and by fostering a strong culture of employee volunteering. By combining global structure with local ownership, the program aims to reach even more young people worldwide while empowering DHL employees to actively contribute to social impact through mentorship and skills sharing.
