(PRESS RELEASE) KYIV, 12-Mar-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — Crédit Agricole Ukraine has signed an agreement to acquire up to 100 percent of the share capital of Bank Lviv, a Ukrainian bank specializing in services for small and medium-sized enterprises and headquartered in the city of Lviv. The transaction represents a strategic move aimed at strengthening Crédit Agricole’s presence in Western Ukraine and expanding its activities in key economic sectors.

Through the acquisition, Crédit Agricole Ukraine intends to enhance its position in the SME banking segment while also reinforcing its involvement in the agricultural sector, an important part of the Ukrainian economy. Bank Lviv has built its reputation by focusing on financing and banking services for small and medium-sized businesses, making it a complementary addition to Crédit Agricole Ukraine’s existing operations.

The planned acquisition aligns with Crédit Agricole Ukraine’s broader strategy of supporting economic development in Ukraine over the long term. The bank aims to contribute to the country’s recovery and reconstruction by strengthening financial services for businesses and agricultural producers.

Completion of the transaction remains subject to customary regulatory approvals. In particular, the deal must receive authorization from the National Bank of Ukraine as well as clearance from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine. Provided these approvals are obtained, the acquisition is expected to be finalized by mid-2026.

From a financial perspective, the transaction is structured to comply with the return on investment requirements of Crédit Agricole S.A.. The acquisition is expected to have a negligible effect on the group’s Common Equity Tier 1 (CET1) capital ratio, maintaining the bank’s strong capital position.
