UniCredit Provides Update on Share Buy-Back Program: Over 139 Million Shares Acquired So Far in 2022-2023 Tranches

(IN BRIEF) UniCredit S.p.A. provides an update on its ongoing share buy-back program initiated on 30 June 2023 as part of the Second Tranche of the Buy-Back Programme 2022. The program aims to purchase UniCredit ordinary shares (ISIN IT0005239360). The company informs that it has conducted share purchase transactions from 7 August to 11 August 2023, with aggregate details available on its website. Since the launch of the Second Tranche of the Buy-Back Programme 2022, UniCredit has purchased a total of 13,991,855 shares, equivalent to 0.72% of the share capital, for approximately 312.5 million Euros. Considering purchases from the First Tranche of the Buy-Back Programme 2022, the company has acquired a total of 139,028,028 shares, representing 7.16% of the share capital.

(PRESS RELEASE) MILAN, 15-Aug-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — Within the UniCredit S.p.A. (the “Company” or “UniCredit”) share buy-back programme communicated to the market on 20 June 2023 and initiated on 30 June 2023, as per the authorisation granted by the Shareholders’ Meeting of the Company held on 31 March 2023 (the “Second Tranche of the Buy-Back Programme 2022”) – on the basis of the information received from BNP Paribas Exane as intermediary in charge of executing, in full independence (so-called “riskless principal” or “matched principal”), the Second Tranche of the Buy-Back Programme 2022 – UniCredit informs, pursuant to art. 2, paragraph 3, of the Delegated Regulation (EU) 2016/1052, that it has carried out the transactions indicated below.

The chart below provides aggregate details of the daily purchases of UniCredit ordinary shares (ISIN IT0005239360), made from 7 August 2023 to 11 August 2023.

As of 11 August 2023, since the launch of the Second Tranche of the Buy-Back Programme 2022, UniCredit purchased no. 13,991,855 shares, equal to 0.72% of the share capital, for a total consideration of 312,524,497.63 Euro. As of the same date, considering also the purchases made under the First Tranche of the Buy-Back Programme 2022 completed on 29 June 2023, UniCredit purchased, as per the authorization granted by the Company’s Shareholders’ Meeting held on 31 March 2023, a total of 139,028,028 shares equal to 7.16% of the share capital.
