UniCredit Bank Austria to Focus on Direct Sales of Securities, Integrates Financing Business of Bank Austria Finanzservice

(IN BRIEF) UniCredit Bank Austria has announced that the financing business of its third-party sales partner, Bank Austria Finanzservice, will be integrated into the bank from 1st April 2023. Bank Austria Finanzservice is the leading broker in Austria’s financing market, and its integration is aimed at simplifying internal processes, making major investments in brokered financing easier and more efficient, and shortening decision-making channels. UniCredit Bank Austria will focus on direct sales of securities through its own network in the future, while Bank Austria Finanzservice’s third-party brokered securities business will be discontinued by the end of the year.

(PRESS RELEASE) VIENNA, 14-Mar-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — The financing business of Bank Austria Finanzservice with its highly successful third party sales partner cooperation will be integrated into UniCredit Bank Austria as of 1 April 2023 and will continue unchanged. Bank Austria Finanzservice is the clear number one in the Austrian market for brokered financing business. With a financing volume of more than one billion euros brokered through Bank Austria Finanzservice into UniCredit Bank Austria, which has remained constant over the past years, the sales partner service has made an important and indispensable contribution to UniCredit Bank Austria’s success.

Robert Zadrazil, CEO of UniCredit Bank Austria, emphasises: “In order to further expand our joint number 1 position in the mortgage finance business, third party sales partner cooperations will in future be carried out directly from Bank Austria. This integration will make internal processes faster and simpler. Further major investments in the brokered financing business can be made more easily and efficiently within Bank Austria, and decision-making channels will become shorter.”

Bank Austria Finanzservice’s third-party brokered securities business will not be continued and will be discontinued by the end of the year. In the future, UniCredit Bank Austria will focus on its direct sales of securities in its own network – digitally and in branches.
