Vestas Lands 81 MW Wind Turbine Deal for Scotland’s Pencloe Project with Invenergy

(IN BRIEF) Vestas has secured an 81 MW contract from Invenergy for the Pencloe wind energy project in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. The project involves the supply, delivery, installation, and commissioning of 18 V136-4.5 MW wind turbines. Vestas will also provide maintenance under a multi-year service agreement. The turbines are scheduled for delivery in Q2 2025, with full project operation expected by early 2026.

(PRESS RELEASE) HAMBURG, 29-Jun-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Vestas has announced a significant 81 MW contract with Invenergy for the Pencloe wind energy project in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. This deal includes the supply, delivery, installation, and commissioning of 18 V136-4.5 MW wind turbines.

In addition to the turbine delivery, Vestas will provide ongoing maintenance through a multi-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement, aimed at ensuring the turbines operate at optimal performance levels.
