This cutting-edge technology, live as of August 14, 2024, marks a significant leap forward in mobile connectivity, offering unparalleled speed, reliability, and efficiency to users across Australia.

The new RAN Compute platform, featuring the RAN Processor 6672, is a game-changer in mobile infrastructure. By utilizing a Centralized RAN (C-RAN) configuration, Telstra has successfully tripled network capacity compared to previous generations. This advanced system handles critical digital signal processing tasks, including modulation and encoding, with remarkable efficiency and reduced energy consumption—up to 60 percent lower than traditional distributed deployments.
