PwC brings on international tax policy expert, William Morris, as Global Tax Policy Leader

(IN BRIEF) PwC has announced the appointment of William Morris as their new Global Tax Policy Leader, effective July 1, 2023. Morris, who has been a member of PwC’s Global Tax Policy team for the past six years and most recently served as Deputy Global Tax Policy Leader, will be taking over from Stef van Weeghel, who will be retiring at the end of June 2023. Morris brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously advised companies on navigating the ever-evolving international business landscape.

Will has been a member of PwC’s Global Tax Policy team for the past six years, most recently serving as PwC’s Deputy Global Tax Policy Leader. He will be replacing Stef van Weeghel, who will be retiring at the end of June 2023.

Will brings a wealth of experience to this role, having previously advised companies on navigating the ever-evolving international business landscape. Prior to joining PwC, Will spent 17 years at General Electric directing GE’s Global Tax Policy Program. He also worked at the IRS from 1995 to 1997 and in the Office of Tax Policy at the United States Department of the Treasury from 1997 to 2000. Will has also been closely involved with the OECD BEPS (Base Erosion and Profit Shifting) and Digital Tax projects as chair of the Business at OECD (BIAC) Tax Committee from 2012 to 2022.
