(PRESS RELEASE) VIENNA, 13-Aug-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — The ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) has launched a new TransFER route connecting Austria and Southern Germany, significantly enhancing the logistics network across Central and South-Eastern Europe. This new service, TransFER Salzburg–Augsburg, provides a vital link between Salzburg, a key hub in Austria’s rail network, and Augsburg, a major industrial and logistics center in Southern Germany. The service operates two round trips per week, offering a direct, non-stop connection that facilitates the efficient flow of goods between these crucial economic regions.

This new connection is designed to bolster the entire logistics chain throughout Central and South-Eastern Europe, benefiting industries across various sectors.
