M&S has also enhanced its sustainability efforts by using Better Cotton and upgrading its product fabrics. Additionally, M&S continues to deliver value in its food offerings through various pricing labels, including Remarksable Value and Bigger Pack Better Value. The retailer also introduced new affordable Dine In meals, such as the Family Stir Fry deal, ensuring customers can enjoy quality meals at home.

(PRESS RELEASE) LONDON, 31-Jan-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Marks & Spencer (M&S) has reaffirmed its commitment to providing families with trusted value by investing in the price of over 300 popular products, ensuring they can continue to rely on M&S for high-quality, affordable options. This investment includes significant price reductions on key items in the Kidswear range, making everyday essentials more affordable while maintaining M&S’s renowned standards for quality, style, and durability.

The retailer has made strategic price cuts of up to 20% on over 100 products in its Kidswear collection, with popular items like the Cotton Rich Hoodie and Joggers now available at lower prices. For example, the Cotton Rich Hoodie for children aged 2-6 years is now priced at £10, down from £12, and the Joggers are priced at £8, reduced from £10. This price reduction initiative is part of M&S’s ongoing effort to offer competitive products without compromising on the quality that families trust.

The company has also emphasized its commitment to sustainability and durability, with a focus on using more eco-friendly materials like Better Cotton for its clothing. The “everyday essentials” range has been updated with new fabrics, including supersoft brushed cotton, while reducing excessive prints and incorporating more stylish designs. M&S Kidswear is designed with longevity in mind, making it suitable for hand-me-downs or recycling through the M&S Plan A ‘Another Life’ clothing recycling scheme.

Alexandra Dimitriu, Kidswear Director at M&S, shared her insights on the company’s focus on value, saying, “Now more than ever, families are seeking trusted value, which goes beyond just price. Our customers want assurance that the clothing they purchase is made well, designed to last, and versatile for their needs.”

In addition to the Kidswear investments, M&S has also focused on offering value in its food offerings, with over 200 products part of its three value labels—Remarksable Value, Bigger Pack, Better Value, and Dropped & Locked—ensuring no compromise on quality or ethical sourcing. Popular items in the Remarksable Value range, such as Free Range eggs and British Salted Butter, have seen increased sales, and the Bigger Pack, Better Value line has expanded to meet the growing demand from family shoppers.

M&S also continues to innovate with its Dine In range, which has seen significant growth, particularly in its Gastropub line. The newly introduced Family Stir Fry Dine In meal, available for just £6, offers an affordable, restaurant-quality meal that serves four people. This meal deal joins other popular offerings like the Pizza Night deal, ensuring families can enjoy high-quality meals at home at great prices.

Kathryn Turner, Product Development Director at M&S Food, highlighted the importance of quality in all their offerings: “Our goal is to provide customers with M&S-quality products at the best possible price, whether they’re shopping for everyday essentials or looking for a gourmet meal at home.”
