Markus Panhauser Appointed CEO of DHL Global Forwarding Germany and Switzerland; Barbara Eleota to Head Ocean Freight for Europe

(IN BRIEF) Markus Panhauser has been appointed as the new CEO of DHL Global Forwarding for Germany and Switzerland, effective July 1. He brings extensive experience from his current role as Head of Ocean Freight for DHL Global Forwarding Europe, where he significantly enhanced the division’s performance. Panhauser succeeds Tobias Schmidt, who will now focus exclusively on his role as CEO of DHL Global Forwarding Europe. In a related move, Barbara Eleota will assume the position of Head of Ocean Freight for DHL Global Forwarding Europe starting August 1, 2024, bringing over 25 years of logistics expertise to her new role.

Panhauser, currently Head of Ocean Freight for DHL Global Forwarding Europe, brings extensive experience in the logistics industry to his new role. Under his leadership, the European Ocean Freight business has achieved significant growth and enhanced profitability over the past three years.
