DHL Express Appoints Abdulaziz Busbate as CEO of MENA Region to Lead Growth and Sustainable Logistics Initiatives

With 24 years at DHL, Busbate brings extensive experience, having led operations in both Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, driving growth, service improvements, and infrastructure investments. Reporting to DHL Express CEO John Pearson, Busbate will focus on expanding DHL’s market leadership, fostering a strong workplace culture, and advancing sustainable logistics across the MENA region.

(PRESS RELEASE) BONN, 12-Nov-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — DHL Express has announced the appointment of Abdulaziz Busbate as the new Chief Executive Officer for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, effective January 1, 2025. Busbate, based in Bahrain, will report directly to John Pearson, CEO of DHL Express, succeeding Nour Suliman, who recently transitioned to a non-executive advisory role as President MENA within the DHL Group.

Busbate brings a wealth of experience, having dedicated 24 years to DHL Express. His career began in Saudi Arabia, where he led various commercial teams and was instrumental in driving profitable growth. In 2014, he moved to Bahrain as Country Manager, emphasizing service improvements and commercial expansion. Returning to Saudi Arabia in 2021 as Managing Director, Busbate played a key role in enhancing service quality, expanding infrastructure, and developing the local workforce to align with DHL’s strategic goals.
