Kees Wesdorp to step down from his leadership at Philips’ Precision Diagnosis businesses

(PRESS RELEASE) AMSTERDAM, 8-Dec-2022 — /EuropaWire/ — Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG; AEX: PHIA), a global leader in health technology, has announced leadership change at its  Precision Diagnosis businesses as the current leader, Kees Wesdorp, has decided to step down from his position and will leave the company to pursue an opportunity in the private equity sector. In the meantime, Bert van Meurs, Chief Business Leader for the Image Guided Therapy businesses and member of the Executive Committee, will temporarily expand his current role to include leadership of the Precision Diagnosis businesses, effective as of January 1, 2023, until a permanent successor for Kees is appointed.

Bert van Meurs currently leads Philips’ Image Guided Therapy businesses, providing integrated solutions comprising interventional imaging systems, smart catheters, planning and navigation software, and services with the aim to improve minimally invasive treatments. He has been a member of the Philips Executive Committee since 2019.
