Hexagon kicked off its four-day 2014 HxGN LIVE conference at MGM Grand Hotel Las Vegas

Stockholm, Sweden, 03-6-2014 — /EuropaWire/ — Hexagon today kicked off its 2014 HxGN LIVE conference as thousands of attendees travelled to Las Vegas, NV, to participate in the four-day event that runs from 2 – 5 June at the MGM Grand Hotel.

The world’s largest event that brings together and shines a spotlight on Hexagon’s global brand network, HxGN LIVE is dedicated to helping customers harness the power of Hexagon technologies. Purposed to empower attendees to do great things with far-reaching and global impact, HxGN LIVE is a forum for customers and partners to access the latest trends in design, measurement and visualisation technologies, exchange ideas and explore solutions toward creating a better, smarter world.

Centered around the theme “Great Stories Start Here, the annual conference combines the strengths of Hexagon’s brands to present an exciting lineup of must-see technologies, exclusive presentations by industry experts, hands-on training, inspiring keynotes from today’s thought leaders and networking opportunities with peers from around the world.

“We have an amazing community of customers and partners and we know this will be quite a significant week for them,” said Ola Rollén, Hexagon president and CEO. “Every year, HxGN LIVE becomes more diverse – diverse in the sessions and keynotes we offer, diverse in the technologies we present, diverse in the experiences we plan and diverse in the attendee body. We are honoured to have conference participants from all over the world, and we are excited about this four-day opportunity to show them all corners of Hexagon’s global brand network.”

Rollén will officially open the conference with his keynote address, “The Disruptive Power of Transformation,” Monday, 2 June at 5:30 p.m. in the MGM Grand’s Garden Arena.

This year’s conference presents several new features, many of which engage participants digitally. Attendees can access conference information by downloading and using the HxGN LIVE Mobile app (http://hxgnlive.com/mobile-app.htm) (for iPhone/iPad or Android devices) or viewing a live stream of activities on HxGN LIVE TV (http://hxgnlive.com/hxgn-live-tv.htm).

This year also marks the inauguration of Hexagon’s Shaping Change Recognition Programme, which acknowledges customers and partners that have made a significant impact on the world through the use of Hexagon technologies. This year’s honorees are Bechtel, the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, New Zealand Police, Shell, Vale SA and Zimmer.

“Our technologies are ever-evolving, and we are appreciative of the companies that understand our vision and match our commitment to share solutions with the global community,” said Rollén. “We are excited to recognise them as partners and celebrate their impact on society.”

These companies will be recognised during Monday’s keynote address, which will be streamed live via hxgnlive.com/tv (http://hxgnlive.com/hxgn-live-tv.htm). Footage and streams from seceding keynotes, track sessions and hands-on classes will be posted throughout the week on hxgnlive.com/tv (http://hxgnlive.com/hxgn-live-tv.htm).
