Bertelsmann expands Supervisory Board with BMG executive Nitsa Kalispera

(IN BRIEF) Nitsa Kalispera, Executive Vice President of Global Supply Chain in the BMG division, has been elected to the Supervisory Board of Bertelsmann. The appointment adds to the representation of employee interests on the board, and Kalispera’s extensive professional experience in media and international background will bring valuable contributions to the company. The appointment brings the number of employee representatives on the Bertelsmann Supervisory Board to five. Kalispera oversees BMG’s digital and physical distribution operations and is responsible for managing partnerships with major digital platforms.

(PRESS RELEASE) GÜTERSLOH, 21-Mar-2023 — /EuropaWire/ — Nitsa Kalispera, Executive Vice President, Global Supply Chain, in the BMG division, is taking a new seat on the Supervisory Board of Bertelsmann. At Extraordinary General Meeting of Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA, the music executive was elected to the international media, services and education company’s supervisory body with effect from March 23, 2023. She will strengthen the representation of the Group’s employees’ interests on the Supervisory Board. Kalispera’s appointment brings the number of employee representatives on the Bertelsmann Supervisory Board to five.

Nitsa Kalispera grew up in the U.K. and joined BMG in 2015 after stints at EMI Music and Universal Music Group. In 2019, she was appointed Senior Vice President, Recorded Music Supply Chain Operations. In February 2023, she was appointed Executive Vice President, Global Supply Chain. In this position, she oversees BMG’s digital and physical distribution operations. Nitsa Kalispera is also responsible for managing key operational partnerships with Spotify, Apple, YouTube, Meta, Tiktok, and other digital platforms.
