ABB Enables Eligible Sweden Based Shareholders to Receive Dividends Without Swiss Withholding Tax

(IN BRIEF) ABB is offering Swedish tax-resident shareholders the option to receive their dividend in Swedish kronor through its Dividend Access Facility, avoiding Swiss withholding tax. Enrollment for the 2026 programme runs from February 23 to March 10, with prior participants automatically included. Subject to shareholder approval at the March 19, 2026 AGM, the dividend is expected to be paid on March 27, 2026, with conversion from Swiss francs based on the March 20 exchange rate and taxed under Swedish regulations.

(PRESS RELEASE) ZURICH, 23-Feb-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — ABB has announced that shareholders who are tax-resident in Sweden and whose ABB Ltd shares are registered with Euroclear Sweden may receive their dividend in Swedish kronor without the deduction of Swiss withholding tax by enrolling in the company’s Dividend Access Facility (DAF).

Eligible shareholders can apply to participate in the facility between February 23 and March 10, 2026. Investors who joined ABB’s DAF in 2025 will be automatically re-enrolled for the 2026 programme unless they choose otherwise.

Pending approval of the proposed dividend at ABB’s Annual General Meeting scheduled for March 19, 2026, payments made through the DAF are anticipated to be distributed on March 27, 2026.

Dividends will be settled in Swedish kronor via Euroclear Sweden and will correspond to the dividend declared by ABB Ltd in Swiss francs, converted using the CHF/SEK exchange rate set on March 20, 2026. The payment will be subject to Swedish taxation rules applicable to each shareholder or entity.
