Stephan Hänseler elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of SIX Terravis Ltd

(PRESS RELEASE) ZURICH, 28-Jan-2021 — /EuropaWire/ — SIX Terravis Ltd., the land register interface, announces changes in its Board of Directors. At an Extraordinary General Meeting, Stephan Hänseler, Managing Director of SIX SIS Ltd, was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of SIX Terravis Ltd. SIX CFO Daniel Schmucki and Dr Urs Hofmann, Independent Director, were elected to the Board of Directors of SIX Terravis Ltd. The term of office is one year.

Stephan Hänseler is Managing Director of SIX SIS Ltd, which provides Swiss central securities depository (CSD) and international custody services to domestic and foreign financial institutions.

Prior to joining SIX, Mr Hänseler worked in various international positions at Credit Suisse and UBS, in Zurich and Singapore.

Daniel Schmucki has been CFO of SIX since 2017. Mr Schmucki is also a member of the Boards of Directors of Bolsas y Mercados Españoles, Madrid, and Worldline SA, Paris, Chairman of the Vereinigung Schweizerischer Finanzchefs (Association of Swiss Chief Financial Officers, VSF), Zurich, and a member of the Board of Directors of Zurich Zoo, Zurich.

Dr Urs Hofmann was a member of the Cantonal Council of Aargau from 2009 until the end of 2020. A doctor of law, he previously worked as a lawyer and notary at his own law firm in Aarau.

Urs Hofmann held various political offices before being elected to the Aargau Cantonal Council. He served as a member of the National Council from 1999 to 2009. In that capacity, he was a member of the Legal Affairs Committee, the Finance Committee and the Finance Delegation of the Federal Assembly, which he twice chaired for a one-year term. He chaired the Aargau Cantonal Council as Landammann (President) in 2011, 2015 and 2019. As Head of the Department of Economic Affairs and Home Affairs, Dr Hofmann was a member of the Conference of Cantonal Justice and Police Directors, which he chaired in 2019 and 2020.
