Verbier/Ingolstadt, 25-11-2015 — /EuropaWire/ — Audi invited music legends including Giorgio Moroder, Jean Michel Jarre and Andrew Fletcher, along with opinion leaders and multipliers from the music industry and journalism, for the first Audi-O-Rama conference on 21 and 22 November. The event held in Verbier, Switzerland, revolved around the future of music. Audi will publish results from the conference in 2016 as the “Manifesto on the Future of Music”.

Participants tried to offer a vision for music of the future during so-called “Big Talks,” which were followed by rounds of questions and answers. The pilot event for the format, which will be held every two years, was aimed at examining various elements of the music industry. Participants discussed new sales channels and music markets as well as alternative approaches to listening. They also examined the relationship between music and the brand with the four rings.

Giovanni Perosino, Head of Marketing Communication at AUDI AG, remarked alongside the event: “At this event we are discussing the parallels between music and the automotive industry in order to find out what the future will bring. And we are supporting dialogue between progressive minds, technology pioneers and innovators in the music business. This form of involvement in the arts has been an essential part of our Audi ArtExperience for more than 50 years.”

Along with Giorgio Moroder, Jean Michel Jarre and Andrew Fletcher, producer Daniel Miller and performance artist Laurie Anderson also participated in the discussions. People participating as multipliers included Sean Adams, Howie B., Adam Harper, Mathias Munk Modica and Roderich Fabian. The conference results including transcripts of the “Big Talks” will be published in spring 2016.
