New Contract Expands ANDRITZ Footprint in Specialty Metals with 20 High Reversing Mill Scheduled for 2027 Start Up

(IN BRIEF) ANDRITZ has been awarded a contract by a leading titanium manufacturer in China to supply a 20-high reversing cold rolling mill scheduled to begin operations in April 2027. The installation will produce high-quality titanium and nickel alloy strip with tight thickness tolerances and excellent surface finish, supported by advanced automation and process control systems. The project highlights continued demand for precision rolling technologies in the high-performance materials sector and was included in ANDRITZ’s Q4 2025 order intake.

(PRESS RELEASE) GRAZ, 18-Feb-2026 — /EuropaWire/ — ANDRITZ has secured an order from a major Chinese titanium producer to supply a precision 20-high reversing cold rolling mill, further strengthening its presence in advanced metals processing technologies. Commissioning of the new installation is planned for April 2027.

The facility will be designed to manufacture strip made from titanium, titanium alloys, and nickel alloys, with a maximum width of 650 mm and extremely thin final gauges. The project is engineered to deliver consistent strip flatness, precise thickness control, and superior surface quality during continuous production.

To achieve reliable performance and durability, the customer selected ANDRITZ’s established four-column (SFC) mill configuration, known for maintaining stable rolling conditions and supporting long operational lifetimes. ANDRITZ will provide the full mechanical and electrical equipment package, along with supervision of installation and start-up activities.

The delivery also includes the ANDRITZ shape-tronic system, which enables automated strip shape regulation, as well as integrated cooling, lubrication, and filtration technologies to optimize process efficiency and resource usage.

The financial value of the contract has not been disclosed. The order was recorded in ANDRITZ’s intake for the fourth quarter of 2025.
