Borealis and Tegral expand partnership to boost sustainable polyolefin packaging distribution across Europe

(IN BRIEF) Borealis has expanded its partnership with Tegral Materials to include Spain, Portugal, the UK, and Ireland starting September 1, 2025, strengthening distribution of its polyethylene and polypropylene solutions across Europe. Building on their earlier collaboration covering Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, and Germany, the extended agreement increases regional coverage in flexible and rigid consumer packaging markets. Both companies are committed to sustainability and are working toward incorporating Borealis’ Bornewables™, Borcycle™ C, and Borcycle™ M products into Tegral’s offerings, which support circular plastics through renewable and recycled feedstocks. The expansion reflects Borealis’ strategy to enhance customer service and provide innovative, sustainable packaging solutions by combining its polymer expertise with Tegral’s local market presence.

(PRESS RELEASE) VIENNA, 2-Sep-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — Borealis has announced the expansion of its strategic distribution agreement with Tegral Materials, strengthening its ability to deliver advanced polyolefin packaging solutions to customers across Europe. Effective 1 September 2025, the partnership will extend to Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom, and Ireland, building on the collaboration announced earlier this year for Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, and Germany.

This broadened agreement enhances Borealis’ already extensive distribution network, ensuring greater regional coverage and more tailored service to customers in the Flexible and Rigid Consumer Packaging sectors. Through Tegral, a company within the Vinmar organization, Borealis will distribute its polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) solutions to meet the rising demand for sustainable and innovative materials in these expanding markets.

A central aspect of the collaboration is a shared commitment to advancing innovation, reliability, and sustainability. Both companies are preparing to integrate Borealis’ Bornewables™, Borcycle™ C, and Borcycle™ M product lines into Tegral’s portfolio, offering renewable, chemically recycled, and mechanically recycled materials that accelerate the transition to a circular plastics economy.

By combining Borealis’ long-standing expertise in polymer technology with Tegral’s regional market knowledge, the two partners aim to provide customers with even greater value while supporting the industry’s shift toward environmentally responsible packaging.
