(PRESS RELEASE) OSLO, 12-Aug-2025 — /EuropaWire/ — DNB has announced the appointment of Rasmus Figenschou as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), succeeding Ida Lerner, who is leaving the bank to take on a new role outside the Nordic region. Figenschou, currently Group Executive Vice President of Corporate Banking Norway, will assume his new position on 24 October. He will be succeeded by Marianne Wik Sætre, presently DNB’s senior executive in Bergen, who will step into the role of Group Executive Vice President of Corporate Banking Norway on 18 August.

Group CEO Kjerstin Braathen expressed her appreciation for Lerner’s contributions: “I would like to thank Ida for her fantastic efforts for DNB during the past 18 years, and wish her the very best of luck in her new job.”

Figenschou, born in 1979, holds a Master of Business Administration from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) and a Bachelor of Economics from Tufts University. Since joining DNB in 2005, he has held a range of senior positions, including Group Executive Vice President of Payments and Innovation, Head of Strategy & Group Development, Head of Corporate Banking in DNB Pank (Estonia), Senior Regional Manager of Corporate Banking in Rogaland and Agder, and Client Manager in Corporate Banking for energy, shipping, and logistics. “DNB is one of the leading companies in the Nordic region, helping simplify life for more than 2 million personal customers and hundreds of thousands of companies, enabling them to prosper. The fact that almost half of our profits are returned to society says a great deal about how meaningful I believe this mission is,” Figenschou said.

Wik Sætre, also born in 1979, holds a Cand. merc. and Master of Economics and Business Administration (Siviløkonom), specialising in strategy and management from NHH Norwegian School of Economics in Bergen. She joined DNB in 2020 and has served as Executive Vice President of Personal Banking and Location Manager in Bergen, as well as Senior Regional Manager of Corporate Banking in Western Norway. Her prior professional experience includes roles as Director of Innovation and Digital Channels at Fana Sparebank and business developer at Storebrand. “I am very much looking forward to taking on this job. There is an amazing creative power and drive among our corporate customers, and we are fortunate to be part of their journey—enabling entrepreneurs and business leaders across the country to create value and workplaces,” she said.

Braathen emphasised the strength of DNB’s internal leadership pipeline: “I am very proud that we have such talented internal managers who can step into new roles. Both Rasmus and Marianne are the best in their fields. I look forward to working with them and the rest of the management team to further realise our strategy, create great customer experiences, and build the best bank for our country.”
